“Had no clue this place existed but now that I do I will be a regular! The bespoke donuts are out of this world with classic and uncommon selections. I opted for the Frosted Flake Donut and was not disappointed...sugar rush!”

“A massive and varied choice of drinks - all the usual beer styles plus seltzers, ciders and even a mead when I was in there tonight. Make it easy for yourself and get a beer flight and let the staff help you choose. Dean looked after us very well tonight, super friendly and also gave us suggestions for places to visit during the rest of our trip in Nova Scotia. With checking out the merch to because they have some less-than-common items, such as best trap handles!”

“Lovely food. Excellent, friendly service. Great food. I tried the Aloha burger with pineapple and ham. I skipped the banana peppers. It was delicious and such a new flavour for a burger! David had the special burger of the day, also great. Tetley tea, which is good. Important to me the brand of tea Coffee was very nice as well. Love the ambiance! The Christmas decorations were lovely. Pretty simple looking from the outside but a great experience overall. If we lived here, we would return again and again. Our kind of place!”

“Delicious! I'm always worried about grease in fish and chips. I was assured bu Maureen, not with hers, and she was right. Rice flour is her secret. Perfect! Only stools to sit on, but (and I love the comraderie amongst shop owners take you take out a few doors down at the Annapolis Royal Brewery and eat there with a delicious local cider or beer.”

“I can't say enough good things about this ice cream shop! I gladly drive 1hr here because every visit is a delightful treat. The ice cream flavors are delicious and high-quality. The staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service. The shop is filled with art(birdhouses). The atmosphere is charming, the location is in the peaceful, quiet Annapolis Royale near Fort Anne and the waterfront making it a perfect spot for a sweet escape. I highly recommend trying the WATERMELON SORBET – it's out of this world! Refreshing and just the right amount of chill for any given day. This place has become my go-to for a sweet indulgence, and I can't wait to come back for more. I forget the prices per scoop.”

“This was a reasonable meal in this small town. It was pretty quiet when we dined very early evening, but the staff were friendly and they had a good IPA available as well as a non-alcoholic beer. My wife had the blackened haddock which she said tasted good (we didn't know what to expect from the description but it wasn't blackened in colour in any way). However, her accompanying fries were only lukewarm (she wanted the fish and wasn't bothered about the fries). I had a vegetarian pizza, which was nice. A reasonable meal for what seems like a reasonable price around here.”

“An impressive array of products that make creative cooking in a rural community an actual possibility. The store owner and her staff are an absolute delight and very knowledgeable! They’re also all very active in our community and well-respected for their contributions. I and my family LOVE shopping there and we bring all our visiting guests as well.”

“Americanized or Canadian Chinese Food brings memories of the first Chinese immigrants who came to work on the railroads in 1880's and stranded due to immigration blockades and lack of employment opportunities they opened laundries or restaurants. This type of cooking takes local ingredients and re-creates a fusion- what is modern day gastronomy. This type of food is long gone in big cities but Charlie's Place gives you a sense of nostagia at a great price- my sweet and sour chicken balls transported me back to my early days in New York City who loved Chinese food.”

“Found this place from Google, and it turned out to be a great little hole in the wall! We came in with 6 people, and there was just one person cooking, so we were expecting the food to take a bit longer but it was only 20-30 minutes! The food was made from fresh, quality ingredients, that were cooked to order. All of the meals were very tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!”

“A wonderful experience. This is first-class dining. It made our honeymoon vacation in Nova Scotia. From the minute we stepped into the restaurant until the time we left, we felt pampered. We chose the 7 course chefs' choice with the wine pairing. Our host was extremely knowledgeable and informed us of what to expect from each wine as we enjoyed them with our food. You will not be disappointed if you dine here.”

“The tide was out but the seafood was rockin’! We had a freshly prepared lobster roll and an order of lobster cream (think warm lobster roll with a light cream sauce over the meat and bun no mayo). The stall was friendly and fun to chat withWe were there on Wednesday and found out that the chowder is only available Friday-Sunday. The rest of the food was so good we almost considered hanging out for a couple of days to get some of that chowder. We left with a bag of fresh scallops and two take out orders of he lobster cream. Needless to say we are well for a few more meals.”

“Our second time eating here and this experience was as good as the last. Pizza was excellent and was baked in a pizza oven, some of the best I have ever eaten. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming and we're knowledgeable about peanut allergies as my girlfriends is very severe, she felt very safe eating there. Restaurant is clean and tidy and the prices are very reasonable. We decided to go for a drive but our main reason for travelling an hour and half was to go here and eat. Great menu as well! We will be back!”

“Very Special County General Store! Gas & Coffee to Bullets & Band-Aids, If this Store doesn't have it, then you likely don't need it! Signage from decades long ago is scattered over the property and get you thinking of days gone by..... Lots of staff to keep you moving, but take my advice and spend 30 to 60min here to soak it all in. Annapolis Royals, Country Store / Mini-Wal-Mart Combo kinda. Go see for yourself! Very Cool 5*****”
