“Easily the best mechanic experience I have ever had. We were down for a weekend camping trip and the check engine light came on about 20 km from the campground. Stopped in here and he immediately dropped everything to diagnose the problem. He needed a part, and since it was late Friday couldn't get it couriered so he called around to see if anyone had it, when no one did he called people he knew who may be making the trip from Sydney to try to grab it. With no luck there he posted on Facebook to find someone making the trip who could pick it up. He found someone to bring it Saturday, and was able to make the repair for me Sunday morning. No charge for the expedited work, for the rush courier or for the extra time he put in tracking down someone to grab the part. Just charged the cost of the part and half an hour of labor for changing it out. I wish all mechanics were as kind and honest.”

“We had a very nice lunch here. The food tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly! They had a kids menu with crayons and good variety (10$ including dessert). So many cake desserts to choose from; I would recommend lemon cake! Wonderful seafood chowder and fish and chips. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place :)”

“We've stayed here twice with a ten year gap and the chalets/grounds remain in excellent condition. Comfortable queen/king size beds in large private bedrooms, large sitting area for lounging in front of a fire place (some are wood burning...wood not supplied...but are being phased out in favour of safer/cleaner propane), fully equipped kitchens with full fridge/stove/oven/ microwave/dishwasher. Short walk to a private beach to watch sunsets.”

“The lady at front desk wax very nice. Recommended local eateries. Very easy check out in morning. Office is only open between 10 and 11 am. We left before that, the caretaker took keys and wished us well. The location is a 10 plus! Right on ocean with breath taking sunsets right in front of you. Offers both rooms and mini chalets for rent. Resonible priced in today's market.”

“Good restaurant with a splendid window view to a cliff across the water. The interior decor was lovely and perfect for a date night setting. The lobster was finger licking good. I spent a good 30 min dissecting it and enjoyed every last bit of it. Take note this is one of the more popular restaurants in the area, definitely recommend having a reservation for this place”

“Fantastic spot for Live Entertainment and great home cooked meals! Live Entertainment from 6:30-9:00pm. Showed up on Friday night and their food special was two pork chops, choice of Te'o veggies for $16.00 and Wings were $1.15 each. Ended up ordereding 10 Hot & Saucy and 10 Maple Bacon which was a dry rub Both flavors were excellent. The boss ordered the Pork Cop special which was hearty and cooked perfection. The entertainment was fantastic as well. If your in the area, you must stop in for lunch or dinner. Keep in mind , the restaurants close nightly at 8:30 or 9 pm ..”

“Monday evening after a day of driving around Cape Breton Island, our 2014 Jeep Wrangler started overheating and went into fail safe mode. We managed to get it back to our chalet to rest over night, and took it to Pat first thing Tuesday morning. He took a peak and was able to give us a temporary fix by removing the thermostat to get us through the remainder of our trip and back home to Dartmouth, N.S. Although he is a very busy man, working the shop by himself for the day, as well as the gas pumps, we were in and out within the hour. Excellent service, honest man and fairly priced.”

“Rooms were old...looked clean but tub lining all worn off...ick. skipped shower there. Looks like run down. Stairs to get upstairs were old, narrow, and patched up. Nice view upstairs. Windows and curtains were 80's for sure. And it wasn't the cheapest in that area. Not for me.”
