“Very good experience! A nice place to spend with kids or anyone visiting London, ON. Animals very well taking care off. Kids can lean a lot about reptile. Also a nice kids play ground. Very cool, nice and clean place to visit. Time needed 2-3 hours. Also $19 per adult I think it’s a very affordable for what they offer! Posted pictures are more to show the exhibit…”

“We we’re curious at first, but the experience is really fun and educational! The host are super friendly and welcoming. She explained us everything about Ostriches and we we’re able to see and feed those big birds. The Ostrich walk is well documented and the birds curious! Can’t wait to taste the meat we bought!😋 Definitely a must while in Prince Edward County!”

“What a lovely petting animal farm! The family that runs it is super friendly and kind. My 13 month old enjoyed it, as well as the rest of our family. Cows, goats, chickens, bunnies, horses, ducks (was there any other animals I missed?). This place is a gem.”

“Nicely renovated room. Gorgeous view . Enjoyed having a fire at night but way overcharged for wood. Never came to clean the room after the first night and we had to go get our own fresh towels.”

“This location is currently closed during the covid-19 pandemic but last year when we went there the girls had such a blast. If you want to see a Massasauga rattlesnake. In a safe environment they have two of them at least in glass enclosures where your kids can see what they need to watch out for when they're o in nature. There are lots of Interactive Learning stations and one of my favourite things that taught my girls a valuable lesson is that cooler that had been very beat up by a bear that want to get inside.”

“Great experience with the family. There are hand washing stations near the entrance/exit. There are feed dispensers spread throughout for the different animals that are clearly labeled for which ones. Be sure to have quarters and loonies handy as the dispensers are akin to candy/toy dispensers. Otherwise you will need to take a quick walk to one of the cashiers inside or one of the food trucks to get change. When we visited in July some of the animal enclosures were being worked on so we figure there would be more animals or different varieties for our next visit.”

“Was referred by my friend to come here he said it's a lot of fun for kids. My daughter loves it! We enjoyed too and have visited quite a few times now. She loves feeding all the animals. Great people running the farm. Very nice and clean. It's a nice small area so it's great for small children. Pony rides for $5. Make sure u take baby carrots and lettuce to feed the animals. Recently went again during covid. We did the pony ride which is $56.50 Carrie was our guide. She was really friendly and we had a good time with her. It's definitely worth the money for the pony ride, my daughter loved the longer scenic trail. We visited the animals in the petting farm after for 30 minutes it was nice. You can't bring your own food to feed the animals anymore, but you can purchase food to feed them which is great! We will continue to come to this farm for years.”

“I too remember a time when the monkey house was down by the river, the zip lines, the pond with the swans and ducks and the gazebo where concerts were held. That was 20+ years ago. Riverview Park and Zoo has been a part of Peterborough for many years and has only gotten better. Adding in additions such as the otters, the splash pad complete with changing house/washrooms, gift shop, newer monkey house, etc. I've heard before it is the largest free zoo in all of Canada. I'd believe it! I still come here every year I visit my hometown.”

“What an amazing experience we had yesterday!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about every animal we encountered. We had the sloth experience with private tour. We were very pleased considering Covid is on going they have everything in place for the safety of staff and guest. The location was very clean and organized animals were all out ready to visit. I will for sure be making another visit with the sloth early next year. Thank you Little Rays for the amazing memories”

“There's a decent number of penguins here so you can get a good look at several of them. There is a pool for them to swim as well as land to walk on so you can see either or both.”

“You won’t be disappointed. Music quality at zoo was decent but bass was weak. Overall, the apes were pretty cool. I recommend not bringing your kids as there is no where to leave them.”

“It's been part of the zoo for years and has outlived the zoo's 'monorail' (remember that?). While the zoomobile is still safe and still an enjoyable ride, the equipment desperately needs an upgrade for ease of access for those with or without mobility issues. It be cool to also get vehicles running on some eco-friendly propulsion system like electric or hydrogen since other zoo vehicles seem to have already gone this way. You know what else needs an upgrade? The jokes of the tour guide at the back! I don't ever want to hear the one about 'the driver closing their eyes since they are scared of heights when driving on the iron bridge above the gorge' quip ever again... thankfully we heard some originals the last time we were on so change is happening, thanks zoo staff!”

“This zoo is nice and simple! The kids loved it! It needs to be protected and encouraged by tourism. The zoo is currently being put down for reasons that nobody has any proof of. This is the oldest privately owned zoo in Canada, don't you think it should be helped instead of shutdown!? We don't close something that lasted this long over ridiculous speculations. Not one single person wasn't enjoying there day. The food is good, the cost is low, the staff is amazing and sweet and we even had a chance to hold a baby lion cub in our arms. Give it a chance or give it a try. It is a nice family place to go. The splash pad is also very nice so kids love to cool out. Please save the zoo and go encourage it :)”
