“Absolute best experience EVER! Add Kingmik Dog Sled Tours to your list of things to do in the Lake Louise/Banff Area! First of all, the route the dogs go on is absolutely gorgeous. The trail takes you to the Continental Divide and then we went through a wooded path the guides called "Narnia." It was simply beautiful. The dogs are, of course, SO sweet! They were clearly so excited to be there to run the sleds, but were also so happy to hang out and get lots of pets, love, and treats. The guides are all so kind and accommodating. The sleds themselves are comfortable and warm. My guide even let me drive the sled on my own, which was pretty awesome! The guides are very knowledgeable and are happy to tell you about the dogs and the area. This is such a fun and unique experience — and the only place you can dogsled through a national park! I cannot recommend this experience enough!”

“Quiet campground with amazing panoramic views. Paved roads with gravel sites. Some sites can be close together. We stayed in site 13 and liked being back there. You can hear the highway if camped near the front. Pit toilets only, no water on site at all. Must fill up and dump at Waterfowl Lakes (2km away). About 30 min from Lake Louise village which is the nearest gas and food. We preferred this site over the lake Louise campground, which was terrible imo.”

“Peyto Lake is simply stunning! This turquoise gem offers a breathtaking view of nature's beauty. Surrounded by majestic mountains and vibrant forests, it's like stepping into a postcard. The color of the water is surreal, making it a photographer's dream. A short hike to the viewpoint is worth every step. If you're visiting the Rockies, don't miss this enchanting spot!!”

“My boyfriend and I wanted to visit Peyto Lake, but we also wanted to go higher for more breathtaking views. Bow Summit was the next hike on our list. I must admit, Bow Summit proved to be a bit challenging, but the views were undeniably worth the effort. It wasn't as popular as Peyto Lake, likely because Peyto is an easier hike in comparison, while Bow Summit is moderately categorized. Check out the videos my boyfriend took to see what to expect on Bow Summit and Peyto Lake as well as the scenic drive!”

“Super fun hiking lol the way to the Sentinel Pass. Although we could not finish the very last and the most difficult part to reach the pass, the rest of the trail was super fun also. The lerch valley was in full fall colors and it was crowded. This is one must do hike in the Lake Moraine area in the Fall. Lots of places to stop and take photographs. Beautiful hike and vista all around.”

“Marvelous camp ground for trailers. They put two units in one wide pull through driveway to save the trees. So even though there is 189 sites you wouldn't think so it is that big, as you cannot see far through all the trees. The spots are very large and the tables are offset so your not beside the other trailer. Lots of privacy as the sites are very long. It is a long campground that runs right along the Bow river with trails along side. Lots of washrooms but only 1 shower facility. We don't mind the walk but some people bristle. Clean, modern with unlimited hot water! There is a dump site on the way out and you're close to the village. Water is very tasty here so load up.”

“Actually, not a bad site! Sure it's a field, but it's really quiet and was mostly adults who wanted to appreciate the mountain views. The underbrush is nice with several types of flowers in bloom and little trees trying to grow back in. We didn't wear bug spray once in 4 days. Compared to Tunnel mountain or Lake Louise campgrounds, there are only 2 sites here in the space they fit 5 at the other places near by. Flush toilets. Small fire pits. Sink for washing dishes and electrical outlets in the bathrooms. Filled up each night July 13-16. Bears on the road a few km away. Easy access to trails in Lake Louise, Yoho, or Icefields parkway. We will camp here again.”

“Location is everything in real estate and campgrounds. We were in the first loop as you enter the campground and the train was obvious, but not annoying. We were also in a hard-sided tear drop trailer and didn’t ever hear it at night. This was our third campground along this stretch of railroad and I can say it is the only one, so far, where the train uses its whistle/horn. Not sure why, but every train that goes by uses it. There must be a crossing or something nearby, but I can’t see it on the satellite imagery. I would image if you are staying further SW in the campground, closer to the track, the train would be much louder and possibly more annoying. The facilities here are decent. No where as nice as Yoho or Mt Revelstoke. But they had hot showers and a decent bathroom. There is a dedicated handicap restroom and shower. Unlike the other campgrounds, this one only has 1 dishwashing sink per bathroom. We arrived full of water, so we didn’t use the water sources here but they seem pretty basic. Maybe there’s a better source then what we saw? Like all the other campgrounds, the staff was very nice and they do interpretive shows regularly.”

“Great place. The parking costs 20 bucks. Lots of availability though. The history of the swimming pool was pretty awesome. If you don’t like the smell of sulfur I would not recommend going to see the cave. Pretty nasty smells. The snails were super cool! Would be really cool to swim in that huge pool back in the day. Oh and don’t forget to take a photo in the Photo Booth 😀”

“Beautiful gardens that offer plenty of shaded grass for a picnic. Parking is very limited so you might want to drop your group off and park elsewhere. The gardens and ponds are easy to walk in about 10-15 minutes on a leisure stroll; lots or stairs though.”

“Our family of four loved our stay at Skoki! It was a great adventure. Our kids (10 years old) were pushed a bit by the hike in and that added to the fun. The backcountry location and lodge feeling like it was so many years ago is awesome. The staff were great, as was the food! Thank you to Gen, Chris, Reese, Jake, Kai and Maggie for their hospitality and service.”

“Easy trail, only 30 min on the trail. Not too crowded but better earlier the better. Small parking lot. Lots of kids on this trail. Great view.”

“This place is unique. If you are an adventurous type, you can reach the top trekking. In case not, take to gondola (pricy, but what else you can do?). The structure and the view up there will pay of.”

“This is not a long trail to hike. You can hike with your family and enjoy the beautiful view in the Banff town. If you drive a car, you can just park you car at the lower parking lot and start hiking along the trail. Have a nice walking!”

“Such a beautiful experience! What a clever idea, adding art along the trail! Respectable distance, beautiful for pictures and the sound of waterfall, what a blessing! If you're in Banff, I highly recommend this natural beauty! Stay hydrated and take a drink along 🙂”

“We didnt intend to visit the reservoir but good thing we did as the view from the trail head is exceptionally breath taking. Kids had a lot of fun the trails are scenic and doable with kids. Over all highly recommended quick stop for amazing pictures. No washrooms and ample parking. Check out the images and follow for more.”

“This place is so incredible beautiful. The sightseeing chairlift was recommended to our group over the Banff chairlift and for half the price. The view was incredible. We got coffee and a charcuterie board when we got to the top of the mountain. Highly recommend. 10/5 stars ✨”

“Spectacular Rocky Mountain federal park provides breathtakingly beautiful views through the mountains in 360 degrees throughout your drive. There are a limitless abundance of hiking trails and plenty of rest stops or pull-off photo opportunities. We love the wildlife overpasses so that the animals can cross the highway safely to reach the opposite forests or streams.”

“Great fenced in dog park. The only issue is the town built it on top of the old dump which means sometimes glass pokes through in the far right corner. To the town's credit they send in workers pretty regularly to check for more glass. I have been going here regularly since it opened and have luckily had no issues with my pup. Just be careful and enjoy the mountain views.”

“We winter camp here. With power, a small electric heater and heated mattress pad gives all the creature comforts. And if you take a site on the south side of the campsite, you get a great view of the mountains.”

“You have to book this ahead of time because you might not get a chance to camp here. This is actually the best campground in Alberta. Lakes and mountains and hikes. You will never get tired of this place. Campground spot is very private too which is just what we all need and also lots of shade from the trees. Book ahead of time to stay here!”
