“Definitely my new favourite cottage in Ontario. Brand new for 2023, this cottage is very cozy with a gorgeous view of rice lake towards the west. The cottage itself is very clean and spacious with each unit has its own kitchen and bathroom. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back with my friends and family. What a gorgeous place! Tip…make sure you follow Merill road to come here as GPS will direct you to a different road with a dead end.”

“We can't say enough about how fabulous our stay at Wicklow Manor Bed & Breakfast was. We chose them based on their excellent reviews and yet they still managed to supercede our expectations. Our hosts, Vera and Gary, were absolutely lovely, and more than hospitable. Their home cooked breakfast was a perfect start to our adventure filled day. “My husband and I had a wonderful time at Whispering Springs last week. We celebrated a birthday by renting the Whisper Cabin, and highly recommend it! We had previously stayed in the Sous Le Vent tent, and the cabin was a great upgrade. There was a fabulous screened-in porch, sitting room, kitchen and bathroom, and bedroom (with lots of hot water and air conditioning). We also enjoyed the property amenities, including swimming pool, hiking trails, ping pong table, and paddle boating. Looking forward to returning soon!”

I'm not sure why the one person said they don't like kids, I have six and we had the best time ever. Beautiful park, nice people surrounding us and I have zero complaints! We can't wait to go back!”

“We spent a week there with 3 teenage boys one with specialneeds. Steven and Grace were so accommodating with everything. They remembered all our names and even our dog's name. Very attentive to all of their guest and the property. I dont think I saw Steven stop moving the entire time we were there. We were so happy with the entire experience we booked again for next year.”

“A nice and charming place to relax and take your mind off what's going on in the world. The spa staff are top notch and very caring. They're very good at applying the right techniques and pressure for an optimal relaxation experience. The administrative staff was very helpful, agile, and flexible; and the restaurant staff are a delight under the circumstances. The room is spacious and comfortable. The food is delicious and decadant with the portions being the right size, if somewhat salty. Main point of contention is the acoustics in some of the public areas are sub optimal since you can hear every one in stereo. I'd give them 4.5* if I could.”

“Did a solo camping trip few weeks ago. What caught my attention was the sites they offer. Literally on the water. Yes little more expensive than a regular site somewhere else but this little island is well worth it. Captain TJ was just amazing. The staff I ran into around the island was the friendliest bunch I've ever met. Always stopped and chatted to make sure everything was fine. Wish I remembered their names. Older short hair lady and an older Irish gent I believe. Fantastic people. As for the property. Wow. Alpacas came for a visit each morning along with the goats. Very cool experience. There is a ton of other farm animals around which makes the place interesting. Plus the activities such as a mud wrestling pit, brass pole dancing, volleyball ect. (Did not participate lol ) I highly recommend this place. Walking the island the cabins are also very cool. Great for larger groups. An awesome experience. Well done Captain and the staff. Lovely place”

“So this is another of those cases where I am probably going to regret telling the truth about this park, because I won't be able to get in again. There is over 400 acres and 2 km of waterfront on the south shore of Rice Lake here, divided between permanent trailer sites, owned and rented cottages, and transient sites. There are about 26 full service grassy mostly level transient sites, with some shade. There are lots of play areas for kids, an adult and a kiddie pool, a beach, a docking area and apparently some world class fishing. Rental cottages are nice looking, owned cottages are very nice looking. Lots of room to roam around, with rental boats, canoes and paddleboards, as well as rental golf carts. The restaurant serves great food, and there is a general store with camping necessities. Friendly people, happy campers, organized activities and room to enjoy it all.”

“It's okay for a large group. Price is good but expect some extra for rental fees like bbq profane, a/c and boats. Nice Decks overlooking the rice lake. Not cool to pay per garbage bag otherwise bring home your garbage. Cabins needs to be maintained. Kids will enjoy and will have fun. Bring fishing rods too.”
