“Have visited Karlo several times and always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It is definitely one of the more casual and easy going wineries in the area. They have outdoor and indoor areas, both are quaint in their own ways. The 1800s post and beam barn is beautiful and the barrel room is so cozy in the winter months! Just a quick bike ride from Wellington in the summer! I find that service is very friendly and attentive but sometimes the staff aren’t very knowledgeable. In general the wine is ok and food pairings are a nice touch. My preferences are the pinot noir, pinot gris and three witches blend. They also have a great menu of vegan snack boxes and weekend live music on the side lawn. On my most recent visit I was really impressed with their covid precautions.”

“I recently spent a few nights at The Lakeside Motel and this was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel ever!! I love that it is dog friendly because I love bringing my dog with me. All of the staff we encountered were amazing, friendly, welcoming, and very professional. I would highly recommend! They have regular modern, clean, spacious, and clean motel rooms, and glamping tents too! The best feature is the gorgeous deck overlooking the lake where you can relax any time of day. It’s just a short drive from Sandbanks park. I’ll definitely be returning again.”

“Such a cute spot! On my way to the beach, I stopped here for a delicious smoothly and a couple wraps. It was delicious and very fresh. The owner is such a lovely person. I also bought some amazing coffee from here! I highly recommend stopping off here for tasty and healthy snacks. Local businesses like these are the gems on these little towns and deserve a try. “Great ambience on their patio with linen curtains and string lights. Good selection of wines. We had the ham and corn chowder, caesar salad, burger and fries and squash ravioli. Food was excellent, portions were perfect. I couldn't eat all the ravioli on the spot but finished the leftovers later the same night! Highly recommend if you're in the area.”

“SLOW, UNINSPIRED SERVICE - but good food. Four (plus one) of us were looking forward to enjoy a nice dinner at the Drake Devonshire. The waitress did not seem to have a good day. We told her we are here for a good time and brought our DD. It took her long time to come back after we got seated to ask for our starting drink or cocktail. When we ordered our appetizers and main course, one of us ordered a side-dish with some minor changes and that got screwed up. She waitress did not even attend to this mistake - we had to ask another waiter. (Note: everyone else in our group did order from the menu without any further extra wishes.) After I finished my G&T I ordered a bottle of Rose wine. It took more than 12 minutes to arrive at our table. I saw the bottle in an ice-bucket on the bar counter for more than 10 minutes without her bringing it to us. If she would have been more attentive - we probably would have ordered at least another bottle. Her loss of an extra tip. The food was good.”

“We had two of the best pies I've eaten in a long time. I only wish I took pictures! One was this gorgeous flavor bomb of a chicken pie with buttery stuffing that I would buy in industrial quantities if I could. The other was an excellent beef pie with large moist chunks of deliciously tender beef. All of these were served with a care for the environment using wooden disposable utensils and recyclable containers and served up by the smiling and kind hubby to the chef. Love the tattoos. ☺️ He explained that they are open at 11am until they run out of pies which he said can happen by noon or 2pm on some days. You can even place orders. You bet your buns I'm placing orders the next time I'm in Wellington! Enjoy if they're open. Cry if they're not. They're great!”

“Very friendly service and good quality. I came with a friend who has a gluten intolerance; we saw something on Google Reviews about gluten free onion rings and asked about it. The staff behind the counter said that they weren't, but patiently explained how they could customize other dishes so that they were. The pizza was also great. And, after that, they told us the best spots to go to see the sunset! I will gladly come back the next time I'm in Prince Edward County.”

“The waterfront terrace of North Docks Kitchen & Drinks is a scenic and relaxing spot for a summer dinner. I ordered a chicken and barley soup, which was one of the best soups I've ever had at any restaurant in Canada. It truly looked and tasted homemade, with lots of vegetables and big chunks of chicken. I also had the fish & chips as my main: it was much lighter and less greasy than usual and the coleslaw was excellent. North Docks is easily one of the best spots for a sit-down meal in Prince Edward County.”
