“Kew Williams (1873-1956) built this house for his wife, Bertha Curran, in The Canadian Kew Gardens, a campground resort opened in 1879 by his parents, Joseph Williams and Jane Henry. Using mostly shale and limestone that Kew and his brothers gathered from Lake Ontario and transported here by schooner, this two-storey stone building was designed in the Queen Anne Revival style.”

“On a nice beautiful day, this is a nice park/beach to go to. Located just a few steps from the busy streets of shops. You can get lunch and then head down and enjoy the nice breeze and sunny sands beside the boardwalk. Sands are nice and soft. City staff do a great job maintaining the areas. If you prefer to stroll, there's the Martin Goodman trail just beside it.”

“Fun place to explore! Also a great spot to sit and reflect while listening to the birds and the creek..... Some parts in disrepair - crumpled bridge rail (from fallen tree?). Can be muddy. Watch your steps, as always. All part of the charm.”

“I love the fact that this natural reserve is man-made. A somewhat tranquil retreat right in the city. More could be done to slightly spruce it up like better paths, nature plaques, garbage disposal. But it's a great place for a nice bike ride.”

“Lovely garden, peaceful place to just chill and naval gaze :)”
Address: Ward's Island Beach, Toronto, ON M5J, Canada
“Very senic and beautiful. It was a very wintery day with temperatures of -7 degrees on one side of the island and it definitely was freezing with the wind chill. However on the opposite side of the island it felt like spring had sprung much milder temperature and it felt like 10°C in the sunlight. What a difference it was. An afternoon well spent enjoying the beautiful sandy coastline.”

“It was very cool checking out Toronto’s oldest light house. I’ve been everywhere in this city and didn’t know this existed until I went to the Toronto island. You cannot go inside (as far as I know) but definitely cool to look at and read about. It’s a nice little historical attraction on the Toronto island for those who are interested in some Canadian history.”

“Well organized. There is a wait for every exhibit but it's well worth it as it means that when you enter the haunted houses, you aren't breathing on someone's neck and don't know what is coming up next. I went to Halloween Haunt in Wonderland the week after and found this much better and not to mention cheaper.”

“The Humber Bay Arch Bridge is a Humber River Pedestrian Bridge, The pedestrians and cyclists can cross this arch bridge south of Lake Shore Boulevard West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Wiki says Completed in the mid-1990s, the bridge is part of the Martin Goodman Trail and is 139 metres (456 ft) in length, with a clear span of 100 metres (330 ft) over the mouth of the Humber River to protect the environmental integrity of the waterway. We did a good 6 km hike from Ontario place to Humber bridge on a fine summer day . The trail has a beach on the way, stopped by to look at the lake many time. Do this trail if you want a long leisurely walk but pl look for speeding cyclists .”

“This is a hidden gem in Toronto. I love the vibe of the park + social meet up place at Evergreen Brick Works. The old building has been maintained so well it's a treat just walking around it and appreciating the brick design, a lot of greenery, and random landmarks that feel little out of place and yet are perfect for this place. I recommend going on a weekday afternoon to enjoy the trail when there aren't a lot of people.”

“Dufferin Grove is a big urban park with great trees, an extra large playground and lots to do. The skating rink is well kept, it has numerous benches, a nice fire pit, small hills for sliding, a little of everything. This time we checked out the brightly decorated Cob structure and sand play area that are tucked in a corner. A unique part of a lovely park!”
