“First time to visit Sésame. First impression with all the big plants they put outside was very nice. We where greeted very nicely and soon we took our tables outside. Cold water was served and our hostess for the evening explained if we needed some explanation for the menu and introduced herself. Looking at the menu we had the choice of the 5-7 special with a nice drink and 2 appetizers. Our hostess made sure everything was perfect en we enjoyed our Pokémon bowl and soon after we received our main dish. The ambiance was great and the interior looks amazing. We had a good evening enjoying our drinks food and service. For sure we are coming back. Thanks to the chef and nice service oriented team to make sure you enjoy your stay.”

Staff is generally nice and friendly, charged me for half the drink when I spilled it before drinking it. Pitchers of beer or sangria $17. Free popcorn you can help yourself to. Show the raptors games on a projector and screen behind bar. Sandwich board say there are specials, must require within. The crowd during weekdays is a bit dodgy.”

“Great service and incredible views. The food from the children's menu was apparently good. The halibut was served cold (after about a 35 to 40 minute wait) as was a pasta dish. They were promptly replaced with hot dishes though which were good. The lobster blta was served with a toasted bun that was cold. Apparently that's how it is generally served but I don't understand why a bun would be toasted and then served cold. The drinks were excellent.”

“We intended to stay here one night on our way to drive the Cabot trail and it turned into 3 nights. The staff are amazing. Very friendly front desk and restaurant as well. Seafood chowder is a meal in itself. We stayed in two different cabins. The cabins are a bit dated but very clean and the beds are comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for a great stay!”

The dressing doesn't appear to be homemade. If so, this is not the ideal recipe to highlight salmon. For this reason, and for the bathroom needing a good makeover, I give 4 because there is room for improvement.”

“This place in the middle of nowhere is a must must stop. This brewery offered a large selection of craft beer made right there. We had the sampler. It doesn't look like much outside, but go in and the place is so unexpectedly inviting, the food is amazing and our server also the manager, Robyn, was the sweetest, telling us all about the history of the brewery the large variety of brewed beers. Love it!”

I opted for the Roasted Vegetable Pasta Puttanesca. It was delicious. The veggies were fresh and the Puttanesca sauce was rich and flavourful. “You are definitely paying for the location when staying at the property. I loved being able to get up before sunrise and walk to Lake Louise each morning. . Issues: my room was “double booked” and I was not notified of this until I was standing at the check in desk. I was given a smaller room with less beds and this was very inconvenient for our group of (4). I was not offered a discount or any thing else for the huge inconvenience. Only an insincere apology. It was 11pm at night and I was exhausted after driving all day, so I had to take what I could get. The hot tub was closed for maintenance and we were never put on notice. The ice machine never worked the whole time we were here. No elevators (however, I am understanding to the fact that it is an old lodge. So this wasn’t a huge issue). I was disappointed that there was no fridge in the room for our lunch items we were storing in a cooler. . The breakfast was good, but the flow is not set up very well and the food ran out quickly with long waits for refills. . Overall: I would stay here again just for the location, but I would come with very low expectations.”

When possible, if a customer orders a bottle of wine, please have a qualified server open the bottle at the table. In most dinning establishments this is the proper etiquette. The bottle we received was pre-opened and re-corked. The wine stain on the cork was very dry as was the cork. This left some doubt in my mind as to what I was paying for. It tasted fine and I didn't complain but going forward this would earn you a 5 star. Overall, you folks have a fine restaurant and our family enjoys eating there.”

“This place was such a vibe! Very beautiful inside and out. We tried the breakfast/lunch menu. It was a bit smaller than expected. Prices were a bit more higher than expected. They had a great selection in bar drinks and hot beverages. I ordered the basic salmon avo toast, and my friend for the shakshua which was very delicious to add a gingerbread latte and to end with key lime pie dessert. The service was great, I definitely would come back to try their dinner menu!”
