“Stayed in the Euro room with no windows, not a big deal. Nice room, free fruit tray every day if you want it, and super friendly and helpful staff. Had an adjoining family room if you need more space. The location and free parking of this hotel simply can not be beaten. The only minor bad thing is the towels really rough, like a kitchen towel. That is the only bad thing I could come up with!”

“We had the BEST stay here. I really wish we had stayed longer. It's the perfect location to walk to shops and food. Delicious, fresh breakfast was brought right to our room for us and our pupperdoo. The suite was gorg and they really love pups! We got the pampered pet package and it's worth it! You get pupcakes, bones, soap and bacon and eggs. So many great memories packed into one small stay. I can not wait to come and stay longer!”

“We were a family of 6 who stayed in the private apartment on a Friday night. The apartment was clean and everyone enjoyed their stay. The kids especially liked the pet rabbit who has a big enclosure in the backyard. The owner was friendly and easily reached when I had questions. I would give 5 stars but the mattress in the bedroom without the bunks needs replaced. It had no support and being 5'11 and 6'3, our feet hung off the end of the bed. There also isn't a TV and for over $300/night, you kind of expect one in an apartment.”

“Wanting to get away for the summer, my girlfriend and I looked into a number of possible bed & breakfasts in the Friday Harbor area. Once we stumbled upon Wharfside B&B, we were drawn to the unique nature of its location and offering. Upon meeting with the lady who runs the B&B, we were introduced to the fascinating history behind the yacht and the inspiration for her being built. Breakfast was served promptly at 9 AM, with an array of pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruits with granola and yogurt (your menu items may vary) with delicious coffee. My overall experience was great, but it would have been nice if Laura mentioned that the water is turned off at midnight, so we weren't shocked when we tried to flush the toilet with nothing happening. Alternatively, we could have taken a shower and brushed our teeth ahead of the shutoff. If you are looking for a place that is different from the rest of the places out there, please visit them as this will be an experience you won't forget.”

“My husband and I were very lucky to be able to stay at The Trumpeter Inn back in June 2018. Shaun was so lovely and her B&B was as lovely as her. We stayed in the Rosemary bedroom and it was the best choice we made. The king size bed was amazing and I can honestly say that it was the best sleep I ever got. The bathroom was huge as well! There was a fireplace and a balcony, both which we didn’t use but it’s good to know that they were there if we needed them. Shaun’s food was so good! For my birthday she made waffles which is pretty much my favorite food. This was entirely a coincidence but I think it was meant to be—Shaun is that good. She also left chocolate covered strawberries in my room as a birthday surprise. Her dogs, goats, and alpacas were adorable and we had a great time spending time with all of them. If we’re ever back in the island, which I hope we will be, we will stay here again in a heart beat. Lots of love, Gaby and Sam”

I know they added some small cabins that we’ll probably try next time, but as a veteran, I love keeping it simple. And as a veteran, I love the mission of Ft.
