“Nice place. Room amenities very scarce. No fridge. No microwave. Only a small coffee maker. Had to buy a cooler in town which was 33minute drive away and loaded up on groceries. It’s a nice place for someone who doesn’t mind eating in the restaurants every meal and isn’t on a budget. Lots of deep fried foods and French fries. Wasn’t told I could drive to door to drop off my bags and suitcase close to the entrance. Had to carry it from parking lot and up 3 flights of stairs and the another 2 flights of stairs to get to room. No elevator. Never been here before so it was frustrating understanding the lay of the land.”

“It’s a hidden gem in winter! It’s mostly a relaxing experience. We tried cross country skiing, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Renting the equipment and getting the entertainment ticket together cost only 50 bucks, making it completely worth the experience.”

“Fairly easy trail for my wife and kids but the downward entrance gave this 300lb brute a false sense of ease. Gorgeous scenery, a bike course, Frisbee golf stations... but if you want a 5 star rating from this guy you need to install an elevator...lol.”

“Great little historic museum, me and my wife went there about 13 years ago and we thought it would be fun to show our kids the museum has lots of old artifacts to show the kids what it was like back then they have lots of information and a few buildings that you can walk through that are exactly like it was back in the day. Great little stop if your in the area…”

“Really like the art on display, but from the reviews I thought that there were more permanent cultural and indigenous displays along with art. Will go back next time we are here to see what’s new though. Also, the cafe didn’t really appear to be open? No one was really available to ask either?”

“Just returned to Kimberly after a ski trip in Fernie and the difference between the two locations is great. OK on the third day in Fernie we had a dump of snow and it was good powder, and amazing. Hard to beat. Nevertheless, Fernie was much better prepared on the runs. And the variety of lower runs in Blue and Green allows for a fun day. While Kimberly has the long North Star quad chair lift, and the blues and a few greens are long and converge on the bridge to the start of the lift. So a real bottleneck. And after the bridge to run down to the lift is not green.. Once up the North Star you can move over to the backside, but they are not always well groomed runs. In fact I was on Vimy Ridge and the run surveyor was having a real argument on the phone with the director about opening runs. It would also be nice if somebody took a brush cutter to the pines growing on the runs. The RCR staff at the locations seem to come from different planets, the Fernie staff are great friendly and helpful. And the ski patrol is on the ball. You can't say that of Kimberly at all. Except being for the cafe staff they are friendly..”

“Great visit at the mine. We did the two hours tour. Starting up the hill to the mine. Having the chance to meet Bill Robert, min worker for over 50 years. He give us a couples demonstration of mining tools. You can feel the emotions behind all the story and memories that he share with the group. The powerhouse was fantastic with a other live demonstration of technology behind the mining scene.”

“Stayed for 1 night... Beautiful location and the room was modern, clean and had great amenities (loved the Rocky mountain soap collection!) beds were very comfortable and the linens were very soft and high quality. Only wish that the rooms could accommodate long sized beds... The fire pits by the rooms were lovely and the blankets from the room were a great addition! Kids loved the giant swing as well! Great view from all the rooms. Will return soon.”

“This place had a scenic view of the lake in the park which was pretty much exciting, watching and listening as the water rush calms me down. It’s quite peaceful the more you watch those waters run. I definitely love Those Little gray Rocks 🪨 placed in the middle of the park right at the entrance. There’s a shed for those who would want some privacy, there are seats outside for a large number of people just incase you wanna eat or drink something. And there’s a trail around the grass where you can take a little walk In the woods 🪵.This is a good place for hiking 🥾 as well. HAPPY HIKING 🥾 🫶”

“The hike in the forest climbs gradually, once you get above the tree line, you get splendid views on mountain ranges and the glacier of course. Total altitude gain somewhere between 300 and 400 meters. We were there end of June and had no trouble finding parking space.”

“Really nice campground with large sites. The lake is really nice and clean. There is a lot of wildlife in the area. The park ranger was really nice and willing to help with any questions that we had. We showed up with 7 people in our party and set up 4 tents between a double site. There was still plenty of room on the site and ample space between sites to where your neighbors aren't bothered with a little noise.”

“Probably the best and nicest course I've ever played. Marshall was a boss( in a good way) club house/ pro Doug is an absolute gem. Bought a speaker that didnt end up working. By the time we noticed, I was back in alberta and he didn't even flinch on making the purchase right for me. Sent it back and he made things right( he didn't have to). This reason alone is why ill be going back every summer and playing. As for the course, tough, challenging and rewarding with picturesque holes everywhere. Thanks again Doug, we'll be back soon for sure.”

“We stopped here for a night and will definitely be back! The cabin was one of the renovated ones (11 and 12) and was quiet, comfortable and beautiful location. We walked the trail and it was gorgeous. We ate at the restaurant and they accommodated my food allergies and the food was delicious! The staff were all very friendly and new owners are doing an amazing job! We look forward to going back!”

“We had a great first experience here! Our kids are 5 & 7 and spent many many hours on the climbing wall. Our guides Riley, Megan & Sadie were fantastic. They brought such good energy, offered many tips and had great conversation with us. The full day climbing pass was great value for kids who don’t like to stop doing an activity. We will come back to to the aerial course next!”

“Campground is nice with paved road and well-maintained sites. Clean toilets, grey water dump spots (would suggest some sort of lid as the debris that builds up on top attracts wasps and probably bears), and lots of quiet. Camp host was nice, but their dogs bark anytime anyone goes past their spot (even when the dogs are in the trailer). Watch out for the hill in site 11 - gets very tiring going up and down it to prepare a meal. No complaints: will be back!”
