“The absolute best restaurant in Halifax, bar none, and easily the best vegan restaurant in Atlantic Canada. We’ve been several times over the last few years and it is always perfection. Everything on the menu is great and this is one of very few places that I have to always get dessert. Lots of great options to suit all tastes and preferences.”

“Their ciders are quite tasty and more varied than I expected. I also liked the view of the canning process right when you walk in, very cool to see behind the scenes. However, the oysters were not great - sauces were nice but the oysters were small and lacking in flavour. There was also a slight issue with the preparation, as there were some shell shards that got into our mouths - nothing dangerous but unpleasant nonetheless. Grab some cider and skip the oysters.”

“This place is a hidden gem. The service is exceptional and the food is incredible. My partner has done a lot of travelling and said it is the best baklava outside of Turkey. Prices are great. Always fresh. Great place to get take out for the week. They offer small and large containers to go .”

“I've dined at the Brasserie a few times since moving to Halifax and I have never been let down! The atmosphere is cozy, yet classy and inviting. The staff are always prompt and friendly. The menu is incredible, I always get the Duck and I am never let down. The wine menu, and cocktail menu are vast and delicious. I can't say enough good things about the Brasserie. Top spot in Halifax”

“The past few years I have had bad experiences whenever I have tried to open and fill the pita. It basically crumbles and falls apart. Even when they are fresh. It tastes fine and is good for dipping but terrible for filling. Even lite fills result in failure. I don't know what the better alternative is. I've always bought these pitas because they are at the local Mid East shop but it's embarassing when we have them with guests, and things end up a mess.”

“First time in this very nice restaurant. The food was delicious, we (2 adults) ordered the guacamole and chips and 5 different kind of tacos + dessert. Everything was great and the girl who helped us was very nice. Parking spots available on the street.”

“The lunch deal three for 12 dollars is great. I had the fish, chicken and beef cheek tacos. The fried chicken and fish where both delicious. I was not a huge fan of the beef cheek but it was my first time trying the meat. All around great place to grab food and a drink.”

“Tried here in the late 90s or early 2000s and liked it a lot, but for no real reason hadn't been back until yesterday for lunch (July 2020). It's bigger and brighter inside than it used to be, with probably a dozen tables (half in use due to covid restrictions at the moment). Seems like there are a lot of regulars who come here, as many lined up while we ate. We arrived about 11:50 at the latest so were lucky to get a table. The place seems very popular for take-out though. When you walk in, the owner always offers a free small soup sample! I grabbed mine without listening too closely what it was (maybe a lentil something), and really enjoyed it, so if I had been in the mood for soup, would've ordered it. I came with a pita in mind so ordered the chicken schwarma (8.95) which is HUGE and very tasty, juicy and not too messy to eat. I didn't realize it was going to be so big, or wouldn't have ordered a side of linguini (an item I remembered loving all those years ago). Next time I must remember to be aware of the quantity. My friend got the 2-skewer chicken plate that comes with pita, two types of rice, a Mediterranean salad and dips. He found it very flavorful as well, decent quality, just overall satisfying. We will be back soon!”

“Food and staff were brilliant. Sadly only 3 beers on tap:( and less than stellar selection of bottled beer. Boyfriend loved the wine choices however! Would love to see some local red ales available!”

“THE BEST MARGARITA! And the nachos are to die for. I love this hole in the wall red light feel - it reminds me of my home town and makes me feel comfortable. We came here after a way overpriced dinner and actually had a better meal and drinks. The staff are amazing at what they do and they actually share a bathroom with Robie St. Station. I cant wait to go back and try more of their menu and have another margarita.”

“great choice of vegan options. The management needs to take it less seriously. you don’t need to ask if people are ready to order 3 minutes after seating them. The staff are very accommodating and helpful.”

“Been on my want to go list for a while. Finally went and was not disappointed. Breakfast dishes were delicious and decent sized portions, service was efficient and friendly, the regular coffee was surprisingly good.”

“I can not possibly put in words the sensation I get when I bite into a Tony's donair. Left the city 25 years ago, still return quarterly to get a taste of home, and that is without doubt, I bring a few back home with me when I leave. Original owners are no longer there but the service from *Gary* is nothing but full Royalty!! ????????Love coming back time and time again.”

“A typical subway outlet with friendly staff. Except during peak hours, there's no wait and smiling staff ready to serve you. Add on cookies and liquid refreshments including coffee makes a wholesome and healthy option for those looking for a a quick and economical meal.”

“I don't know of it's because we went as soon as they opened for supper service, and that their pizza oven maybe wasn't up to temp , or if that's their pizza. I wasnt overly Impressed no lepording on the crust and it was not crispy on the outside. The ingredients they use are super fresh and local, I will try again.”

“Amazing place. The owners were so personable and accommodating. The sushi was also extremely good. As other reviews state, there are only four seats. We ate there, and it really added to the experience. You won’t regret trying this place out.”

“Ordered several dishes yesterday, the Thai food is very good, quality and taste was excellent, however a bit on the pricey side. The green curry is not as spicy as I'm use to having, but overall tasty. They do t offer coconut rice. Also the delivery fee is a bit steep compared to other Thai restaurants.”

“Great wings. Relaxed atmosphere. The other food I've had here was also good. They have parking as well, which is always a plus. They have a wing night. Their wing flavours are limited, but they hit all the important ones. Their suicide wings are hot AND flavourful.”

“My only problem is when you get the quarter chicken meal it should be a meal and follow some Canadian Food suggestions. It is one meal that most people can afford but it is lacking one thing, vegetables. The new guide wants our meal to be half vegetables and going out to eat does not mean we do not have to eat our veges. I think it should be included and not a side that you have to pay more for and it is a few carrots and peas. I would like more menu's here and everywhere that includes a healthy portion of vegetables that do not come from frozen bags. I am willing to pay a little more to see that. Tasty but sometimes the food is not hot enough and the coffee too.”
