“Booked a room with a Jacuzzi tub and king bed. They have no Jacuzzi tubs. When asked the owner mumbled something in foreign and kind of apologized. I would have saved twenty bucks getting a room with a regular tub as opposed to the phantom Jacuzzi. When I told him this and asked for the twenty back again I got mumbling and smiles. Didn't have the fight in me after a 14 hour work day, so I'll just never go back. Can't wait to see the look on his face when I don't show up again 😏”

“While other reviews have been negative, I've found the staff extremely pleasant and accommodating. The condo unit we stayed in was very well appointed and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was well priced and quite good. And the pool/sauna were clean, warm, well maintained. The hot tub is broken, but they were very clear about that upon booking. I acknowledge the other reviews, but perhaps management has responded to the reviews and improved the service.”

“We had a beautiful time at this place. It has a calm and serene atmosphere. There's a sandy area perfect for kids and their sand toys. The water was too cold for a swim when we visited in May. They did have 2 paddle boats, 3 kayaks and a canoe available for free use and we had a good time with those. The rooms were quite comfy and neat. The staff was also friendly. We didn't get any breakfast or lunch or see any restaurant facilities there which may be due to the fact that we went during Victoria Day holidays. There is a common kitchen and common dining area however that we could use. Overall it was a very peaceful place with a great view of the lake and a sandy shore. There's a park structure on the side for kids as well. Pleasant experience.”

“MBC Muskoka Bible Centre is a great vacation spot with a lot of activities and Bible programs for adults and kids. Breathtaking landscapes. We enjoyed the stay, the staffs were so helpful and kind. The food is good. We enjoyed the kayak and canoe rides. Their camping ground is so well organized and they have many varieties. I would love to go there every year in different seasons and enjoy the experience. I recommend this for families who want to have a great vacation time.”

“Incredible hiking, biking, and swimming opportunities abound across many trails and common areas. Two independent lakes sit astride a beautiful river that culminates with a flat-rock falls. Summer brings awe inspiring beauty in the sprawling forests filled with mature, tall trees swaying rhythmically in the wind. Winter means extensive skiing, skating, and snowshoeing among the exposed rocks and rolling hills. Arrowhead is a gem. One that is best looked at from many angles. Repeat visits only make it shine more brilliant. This park is a required stop on any trip through the near-north.”

“Stayed here in a pinch when our Air BNB canceled on us with 3 hours notice. Room was clean including the kitchenette, fridge and dishes. Staff were friendly and checked in on us daily to make sure we had everything we needed. Great location. 60 seconds from Arrowhead and 30 minutes from Algonquin. Grounds were well kept. Made use of the bbq and outdoor picnic area. Beds were comfy but made noise when you moved. Dead bolts on doors would be nice but still felt safe and secure. Would definitely stay here again. Dog friendly which was a bonus.”

“What a beautiful setting and host! Lynn greeted us out front and had fresh cookies baked for the kids upon arrival. The space is well appointed with every amenity you could need. Our hosts were also very accommodating, providing snow shoes and ensuring we were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! Although we were quite pleased with Lynn’s daily offering, she also went out of her way to make a special breakfast for our picky son. “Above and beyond” doesn’t begin to describe the level of caring. (Oh and we especially loved the fresh muffins/ loafs each morning before breakfast) The property is spectacular! 80 acres of peaceful serenity. We enjoyed hiking the trails and the dogs loved running the expansive bush/ forest and stream. Such a quiet tranquil setting, yet so close to all amenities. Hidden Valley is literally across the street and fabulous restaurants are a 15 minute drive to Huntsville. We also visited Limberlost Forest at Lynn’s recommendation. It is an unknown treasure that was definitely worth the visit. Be sure to hike Buck lake and see the frozen waterfalls in the winter. Overall a great experience! Can not wait to visit again!”

“As a family with two kids, safety and sanitation is the priority i looking at when I book trips. Hand sanitizers and cleaning spray are everywhere for guests to use, from waterfront equipment to patio desks, facial mask required signs, social distancing notices are presented at all the entrances and exists. Staffs are all wearing masks properly all the time, this resort is really doing their work well to ensure guests safety. If anyone is looking for a resort for families during the special moment, this is definitely the perfect destination.”

“Excellent winter retreat! I stayed there this January and the experience was amazing. The structure was very good, cabins were super clean and the staff was very nice and attentive. They had good COVID-protocols in place and I felt safe. Trails were a nice way to spend the day and, since the lake was frozen, the hockey rink was functional. Already planning to go back next winter.”

“We stayed at Fairy Avenue Getaway during Family Day weekend so we could spend our days at Arrowhead Park. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. The house and the views are spectacular. The rooms all had a beautiful view of Fairy Lake. Everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were warm and welcoming and make everything easy. “We have stayed twice at this beautiful home. The view is breathtaking and it doesn't matter which season you are staying in it is just gorgeous. The property is new and very clean. We had everything that we needed to feel like home. The owners are very nice and will answer all your questions if you have any. Also, we were provided with a National Parks Pass to use, which was really a good perk as we love hiking and individual parking fees are pretty high. “The pump in the lake finally failed. In spite of thick ice Peter Briggs put together a new stand and a new pump and got the water back the same day. Pretty amazing work and timing. The next day he came back and replaced the pressure tank and the associated galvanized plumbing with copper. This freed up the lines from blockage and the water pressure in the house soared. All cleaned up and working perfectly. A pleasure to work with a firm that installs quality parts and service.”
