“A small grocery store next to Lake Louis visitor center. Everything is super overpriced. They have some frozen and fresh vegetables. They have homemade banana bread. They don't accept Amex and Discover.”

“Had a wonderful stay at the Paradise Lodge & Bungalows. Staff was super friendly and helpful upon our arrival. Grounds were well-kept and the cabins were super cool and cozy after our long days of hiking. Cabins had a kitchen, and the front desk had some nicely prepared meals to put in the oven and they were delicious. Lake Louise doesn't have many restaurants open late so that came in really handy. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Lake Louise!”

“Nice little hut. It's in great shape, has amazing views, and is a great jumping off point to access some incredible terrain on the Wapta. One draw back is the sleeping area and kitchen are one in the same so it's easy to disturb others or be disturbed when on different schedules, but that's hut life! Great destination if you're familiar with safe glacier travel. You'll want to bring the proper gear, and ideally an experienced partner or two to safely access the hut and surrounding area. This hut cannot be accessed via a simple hike. Be sure to make a reservation with the ACC, and to leave the hut as you found it or better!”

“Quiet campground with amazing panoramic views. Paved roads with gravel sites. Some sites can be close together. We stayed in site 13 and liked being back there. You can hear the highway if camped near the front. Pit toilets only, no water on site at all. Must fill up and dump at Waterfowl Lakes (2km away). About 30 min from Lake Louise village which is the nearest gas and food. We preferred this site over the lake Louise campground, which was terrible imo.”

“Came about this place by sheer luck. We only had to try the pastries once to know we'd be back. Us and everyone else because the waiting line was always around the corner. If you like fresh bread and cheese croissants, this unassuming place will hit the spot.”

“Very busy, had to wait but well worth it. The pub is attached to a hotel but does cater for non-residents. They do not take reservations. We were in the area in early July. On our first night we drove to the pub and found it to be very busy with no tables available. We were asked if we wanted to wait as a space at the bar would become available shortly if we wanted it. We said we would. The pub itself is not very big but is extremely popular. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. There were tv screens on the walls showing baseball. We’ve never sat and eaten at a bar before but the casual nature of the evening made it a good spot to sit and eat. We had a great conversation with the couple next to us who we found out were in the car behind us that day taking pictures of a bear on the Icefields Parkway near Bow Lake. We only had one course as there were no starters (only soup and salad) listed on the menu. However, the portion size of the mains was more than adequate to satisfy the soul. Having tried poutine in Nova Scotia (and not liking it much), I decided to try the pub’s bison brisket poutine. And wow, so much better. The brisket was tender and fell apart and the poutine had the right amount of saltiness so as not to be overpowering. The generous portion size meant I couldn’t finish it. I could see it was a popular dish as more and more plates were coming from the kitchen. My husband had a burger and chips and he said his was good too. We also had a couple of beers and a soft drink. Total bill with tips $95, £58”

“This store is amazing. An abundance of wonderful items. The staff was wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. I bought way more than I intended and got gifts for others as the options were truly wonderful. I suggest you stop in, you will be glad you did!”

“Perfect start into the day with a breakfast at Trailhead Café. Big Breakfast (Eggs your way, toast, hash browns, sausage or ham or bacon) and a Carrot Pineapple Loaf (10/10). All of it was just so delicious. Freshly prepared. Great ingredients. Cappuccino and Latte were good as well. 😍 Service was kind and friendly. Recommend it when being around in Lake Louise. Inside and outside possibilities to sit. Recommend outside, as it is very small and the kitchen and counter to order are kinda right next to you.”

“This restaurant has a great ambience, lovely food and it's great to watch the long trains passing by. We made a reservation before we left the UK as Lake Louise doesn’t have many restaurants and not many take a reservation. The restaurant is located at the end of a short road following the Bow River in the old Lake Louise station house. It is a very grand building with high ceilings and lots of space for diners. The tables are very well spaced out. For our starters, we shared a good sized portion of coconut shrimp. For the mains, my hubby had the pork schnitzel and I had the bison lasagne. Again, the portion sizes were generous and hot. Both meals were delicious. There are lots of tables in areas you can't see so how busy it was, I don't know. The central section where we were located was busy though and the service was good. Not the cheapest place to eat in Lake Louise, but you get what you pay for. We had 3 nights and 3 places to eat and this was the most formal of the 3. The service was very good, the food and food choices were excellent and I would recommend eating here. Total bill with tips $137, £84”

“If you want fine dining and not staying at The Fairmont, go here. All dishes are very good, the service is excellent, the interior is a bit old-fashioned. Wine list is very extensive. A very good experience in Lake Louise.”

“Peyto Lake is simply stunning! This turquoise gem offers a breathtaking view of nature's beauty. Surrounded by majestic mountains and vibrant forests, it's like stepping into a postcard. The color of the water is surreal, making it a photographer's dream. A short hike to the viewpoint is worth every step. If you're visiting the Rockies, don't miss this enchanting spot!!”

“My boyfriend and I wanted to visit Peyto Lake, but we also wanted to go higher for more breathtaking views. Bow Summit was the next hike on our list. I must admit, Bow Summit proved to be a bit challenging, but the views were undeniably worth the effort. It wasn't as popular as Peyto Lake, likely because Peyto is an easier hike in comparison, while Bow Summit is moderately categorized. Check out the videos my boyfriend took to see what to expect on Bow Summit and Peyto Lake as well as the scenic drive!”

“Super fun hiking lol the way to the Sentinel Pass. Although we could not finish the very last and the most difficult part to reach the pass, the rest of the trail was super fun also. The lerch valley was in full fall colors and it was crowded. This is one must do hike in the Lake Moraine area in the Fall. Lots of places to stop and take photographs. Beautiful hike and vista all around.”

“This youth hostel will put your 4 star hotel to shame. We came with a family of 4 and stayed in a quiet room with a private shower. My kids have really been impressed with this place. My wife came here with her Mom 25 years ago at this exact location and now we are here again. After hiking to Lake Moraine during the day, playing a game of pool with my son at the communal space at night will surely cement our memories here.”

“We had stayed at this Lodge many times over the past 30 years and were excited to return in September after its extensive renovation and remodel. It is absolutely stunning to behold! The footprint remains the same…the iconic roof, the stunning fireplaces! The interior space now houses 17 spacious guest rooms…with elegant furnishings and modern bathrooms! All new windows…no more rattling! Reinforced walls that were quite soundproof. Elegant and comfortable places to sit on the main floor and a beautiful bar. Fantastic staff and truly perhaps the best Chef and Sous Chef and crew in all of the Rockies! Wish we lived closer and could go more often…certainly will add it to our yearly trip from California! Kudos to the ownership, management and staff for creating such a treasure that is so perfectly situated away from the crowds on exquisite Bow Lake! A perfect getaway on the spectacular Icefields Parkway.”
