“What a great course! So glad we made the drive up from Victoria and made Miracle Beach Mini Golf one of our stops! Hot dogs were great too! All the staff were super friendly and the service was top notch. Will definitely be back!”

“Pretty good stop when in the area and in the mood for fruit wines. It's a family operation. Did you know it used to be a dairy farm? Ha ha. How fun is that? And the bluebs cleanse your pallet. Picked this morning on site. Don't forget your wallet!!”

“Lovely small cidery with tons of options to explore. We had a tasting flight and had an opportunity to wander around the grounds, which made the whole experience even more memorable. The staff was accommodating, answered any and all our questions, and clearly are passionate about what they do. And of course we loved the cider.”

“Beautiful trail that walks above the Puntledge River. Very easy, small walk for us. 2Kms for our route. You can take even shorter routes if wanted. There is a small built in to the slope, rock stairs, so not wheelchair friendly.”

“The rainforests and the vagaries of business cycles have covered much of the history of Cumberland and the nearby Coal Creek (Cumberland Chinatown). The Cumberland Museum & Archives brings this rich history back to life with vibrant and engaging exhibits that don't shy from telling uncomfortable truths. From the treatment of early Chinese settlers ("A Place At the Table") to mining conditions in the 1800s to early aboriginal engagement, the museum doesn't hold back. Yet despite all they endured, the happiness and pride of these vibrant and tenacious people shine through. This museum tells their stories beautifully.”

“Incredible sunset patio tasting on a 12 person girls trip! My friends and I recently visited the winery while on a big girls bike trip. We had the most wonderful visit! The patio is gorgeous with plenty of space for our whole group. Alex, the owner, makes you feel right at home, with personalized stories, detailed wine descriptions, and a friendly and welcoming demeanor. The wine was delicious and unique. This is a must visit spot for anyone passing through the Comox Valley!”

“A good park with a basketball net, a playground for children with swings. It has 3 disc golf holes set up in the open field. It also has trails in the woods around the park, leading to pedestrian ways to walk through the subdivisions . One of the trails leads to a pond where a family of ducks lives and are used to human interaction as many people feed them.”

“The Comox Valley offers an enormous range of outdoor pursuits. Fishing, mountain biking, skiing and hiking. There are spectacular lakes, parks and historic caves (just south of Comox Valley is Horne Lake and Caves- co operated with the help of BC Parks. Napping is an option in some circumstances, but you may miss out. Cumberland offers world class mountain biking with eclectic independent restaurants, coffee shops and bicycle stores. Nanaimo is the last supercharger for northbound Tesla owners, but the Buckley Bay rest stop and charging station is being massively upgraded (supercharged you could almost say). The Tourism Information Centre at the turnoff to Courtenay/Comox has a single car charger with enough amperage to charge a cell phone. If you are going to spend 10 hours filling an EV here, you can at least stare at the decommissioned Snow Birds jet. Vancouver Island is the home of Broken Home Honey. This growing bee keeping coop is sweetening the pallet of Islanders while focussing on sustainable growth and consensual pollination.”

“Incredible views! The tide pools are really something to behold. Very well maintained facilities as well. Definitely worth a visit! The campgrounds are clean and level, great for tent camping and RVs alike. There is also an area for RVs to empty their water tanks and fill back up again (though there is a $5 discharge fee, only payable with loonies and toonies, so make sure you bring change.)”

From its stunning location to its first-class amenities, the marina offers a seamless and enjoyable stay. While some minor improvements could further enhance the overall experience, Waterfront Marina remains a top pick for a serene and exciting waterfront getaway.”

“A beautiful creek within the town of Comox. Access off of Balmoral and walk to the ocean past the fish ladder. Go South and Walk along the boardwalk to MacDonald Wood Park or North and visit Filberg property. If you choose to go up Creek and it has rained there is a waterfall splashing into the creek with walking bridges and a well groomed pathway.”

“This park is where I'd go if I wanted to just sit down and read a book and enjoy a coffee. You can't see what's inside the park until you enter through the gates. And enter a nice big green lawn and paths that lead you too various spaces in the park that used to be the filberg property now a municipal heritage site. There are many different types of trees and plants. And for sale to small bouquets. Various buildings to look around and explore but I was there when it was closed. There is a small outdoor restaurant right near the water and the view as you can see in the photo. I did see a couple of deer grazing. And heard many quacks. Very good for kids to explore during the day. There is a petting zoo!”

“The art show has gotten so good. The trails surrounding the property are beautiful. It's heaven here”

“The trails are great. It’s a huge forest just for a walk. There is a field for your dogs to run around on, as long as there isn’t a baseball game going on. I just wish there were even more people walking through them because my dogs are very sociable, with other dogs and people. (Watch out for snakes and bears!) have a good walk!”

“Incredible museum! So many well-preserved artefacts and interesting displays, and lots of info about the RCAF as well as more personal stories about individual service members/squadrons over the last 100+ years. Definitely worth a visit if you have any interest in the history of the RCAF or Canada's involvement in WWII and beyond. The entrance fee is a pay-what-you-can donation to the museum itself. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a small gift shop with items for adults as well as children. Overall a great spot to spend an hour or so!”

“It's perfect down here. Connects to another park and both go down to the water and you can do a loop down one side and back up to your car the other way. So many birds: saw cassin's vireo and ruby crowned kinglets, purple martins by the water, lots of rufous hummingbirds by the thick groves of salmonberry and wild currants. Lots of little bridges and boardwalks interspersed.”

“Stayed here again after loving it so much. Unfortunately had to witness the lovely couple who run this gorgeous place get yelled at and accused of untrue things. They couldn't even get a word in. Showed up at check in time to my campsite, and there was a party still there. Check out time for them was extended as a kindness, and for them to yell and use unkind words infront of myself and other campers around were just appalled. It was a wedding party I understand, it's sad to see them be so un grateful and entitled to treat the managers like this. I was displaced and had to take another site due to this inconvenience. Management had to apologize to all campers around for the wedding party's behavior. Please don't believe these 1 star negative reviews all within the day, as this is an untrue picture painted on this beautiful space & people. Beautiful campground and park. Extremely well kept by lovely people. Such a pleasure to stay here and sleep by the ocean.”

“Great walk along the creek. A few swimming holes, cool trees, little waterfall.... mostly easy walk but some roots & rocks to get across small creek (but difficult unless mobility issues)”

“The park is one of the most peaceful BC Park campgrounds I have stayed at on Vancouver Island. However the sites are smaller than normal with less shrubs between the sites making it feel a little more cozy with your neighbors. If you want the full privacy that you can get with some campgrounds, this is not the place for you. The beauty of the park makes it worth it for me. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the beach, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the site, is the most magical experience.”

“Best kayak place ever!!! Denman island is so pretty and doing a kayak tour is the best way to experience this place. Marco is a knowledgable guide and taught me useful kayaking skills, and introduced me to seals, otter, eagles, fish and crab we saw, really learnt a lot about the area. The kayak gear is so high quality and well-prepared I am so glad I came here and I would highly recommend everyone to come!! Such a cool place I will be back💕”

“Morning Beach Park is absolutely a hidden gem on Denman island. You'll want to visit during low tide so look up when that is and plan your trip accordingly. You will need to take the ferry out to the island and then drive about 10 minutes. Park along the road and follow the path to the start of the staircase down. The staircase from the top to the shore is just over 100 steps. Some of the stairs are a bit wobbly and there are sections where the railing is a rope rather than wooden. The stairs seem perfectly safe and we had no issues getting to the shore. In low tide, there is so much shoreline and beach present. During our trip out, there were only two other couples on the beach but there was tons of room for there to be a whole lot more people and it not feel crowded. It is important to note, there are no washrooms onsite. You will need to travel back to the village or the terminal for those.”

“Extordinary!!! We took our place on the shore to watch the sunset along with several others there to witness it. A small group played guitar and sang "you are my sunshine" We stayed on the beach into the night and luminescent plankton came to surface and we played with them splashing and watching the glow. Then in the dark, not 50' from us, something started splashing. Over and over. Too dark to tell what it was, but it was having fun. A very special place to witness nature.”
