“Super comfy beds and the rooms were clean. Location was very convenient to downtown Banff the hotel provided bikes and hiking backpacks that we could use. They were included with the price of our room. We will definitely be coming back!”

“The Buffaloberry Bed and Breakfast is an outstanding place to stay and the only place I would consider in Banff. We are repeat customers (4 times) and each visit has been a joy! The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. We love the Wheat and Chafe room on the second floor and my sister-in-law loves the Rabbit Street room on the first floor. There is a lovely patio which can be accessed easily and privately from the first floor rooms. The shared living space is wonderful and cozy. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and will be unique and different for each day of your stay! These were some of the best meals we had and Banff has outstanding dining opportunities. But the cherry on top of the Buffaloberry is James and Theresa. Their experience and knowledge of the area provides great suggestions for hiking, biking, or whatever you might wish to do. Thank you James and Theresa! We will be back!”

“A very cute little place to stay during your vacation in Banff. Almost everything was perfect but I guess liked the kitchen view (day and night) and the breakfast the best.”

“As other people mentioned before us it is a very clean, comfortable and great place to stay in Banff. It is very close to everything but still away from the crowded Banff Avenue. We had a very pleasant experience and we highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you kindly to the hosts.”

“We stayed at YWCA Banff Hotel for a few nights. We had a private room. The room was small as expected. It was very clean. As well there was no unnecessary noise from any parts of the hotel, which made our stay enjoyable. There is a fridge and microwave that guests can use. I wish they had a kitchen for guests to access. Overall we were very satisfied with the stay.”

“At Wits End is a great bnb in Banff. The location is within walking distance to downtown and Bow Fall viewpoint. April is a super nice and friendly host. She provided everything more than we needed (soap, shampoo, lotion, hair dryer, sunscreen, insect repellant spray and also bear spray!). The room was cozy and clean. A lot of choices for self-service breakfast as well.”

“Every night was a great night’s sleep here. The queen bed room we got was comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful view overlooking the road and surrounding properties. Being walking distance from downtown Banff was convenient and it was so fun to walk there and back. The people running it are friendly, professional, and attentive. The parking can be mildly inconvenient if you end up with a huge rental car like us (a ram 1500) because the road up is steep and narrow and parking is a bit close together. However, if you know where your car starts and ends you won’t have any trouble getting in and out.”

“This hotel is located in an ideal location. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The service is great as well. If you book the heritage room there are a couple of stairs involved (lift access and then a few steps down). I would recommend a minimum of 2 night stay here to explore Banff.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Banff Bear! Richard the host was pleasant, responsive and accommodating. The location is great- short walk to the Main Street in Banff, but still very quiet and tucked away from the crowds/traffic. The suite was very comfortable (all 4 of us agreed) Beds were comfy and the blankets and pillows were great, everything was fresh and clean. The kitchenette area was well stocked for a light breakfast. It was a nice space - since we were two couples, we appreciated the separate bathrooms and the door separating the living space and bedrooms. Overall we would recommend, and will probably stay again the next time in Banff. Our only comment is that the fridge is quite small, which made it tricky to plan “at home” meals, so we will definitely bring a cooler next time. And one suggestion from our group - wall outlets with USB ports would be a great addition! All in all, happy with our stay!”

“Absolutely charming, clean, super comfortable beds. Robin is an incredible host. We rented the whole house and she made our retreat memorable. Went out of her way to be kind and accommodating. Even went and found an extra card table because I needed a place to write while I was there. Picture of my room included”

“The hotel is a bit old but nice. The room was spacious and we had access to a huge shared balcony which was very nice. That said, the room was not serviced well. We never got enough towels and the trash cans were not emptied once. The swimming pool was nice but it is *very* small and the water were freezing (which didn’t stop my kids from enjoying it!). The hot tub was great! Spacious, hot and strong jets.”

“Cosy little cabins, close enough to the main drag that everything is walkable but far enough away that nights are quiet. Can’t say enough good things about this place, Chrissy, Jiri and little Bear were so welcoming and truly make you feel at home. Super comfy beds and even though the days were 30 degrees C the cabin stayed cool due to shade from the trees all around. If (when?) we make our way back here we will definitely be staying here again.”

“We just got back. Staff was super friendly, helpful with suggestions etc. Room was clean. With the hot weather we found it kept us up at night due to no air conditioning. It could definitely use some updates, only 1 ice machine for everyone, located near the parking garage.nice having chillis right downstairs and that they have a dog friendly patio!”

“Stayed at the Banff Inn on a motorcycle trip for one night with another couple. We checked in around 5pm, parking was in an underground lot, which was fantastic. Staff was polite and friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. View in the room was not great, as it overlooked the parkade next door, however we were just stopping over for one night, so that didn't matter to us. The amenities at this hotel are fantastic and very clean. Hot tub, sauna and steam room are all open pretty late, which was much appreciated. Great central location, walking distance to downtown and all of the restaurants. Price was reasonable for the area. We would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.”

“Great location. Far enough from downtown to be quiet but only a 15 minute walk to the action. Rooms were basic but bed was comfortable and there was a good amount of storage. We stayed in a loft room and the fireplace was a nice added touch. Room was a good value for the price. It was clean. Staff was helpful when we needed something or had questions.”

“We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights, Janet is a great host, the rooms are super cozy and we felt like home. The lodge is in great vicinity and everything is very near from here. Janet was very helpful in guiding us to some of the best places in town and she asked us few times if we need anything. Besides all, i was looking at so many hotels online but everything was very expensive, then I found Elkhorn and this is really very affordable. Thank you Janet for operating such a wonderful place.”

“We really loved our 2 night getaway here! Malcolm and Sharon were great hosts and we loved the amazing breakfasts delivered by them each morning. Malcolm graciously set up the outdoor fire pit so all we had to do is light it. We really loved sitting by the fire out in the cool winter evenings. Great to be close to downtown which we walked each evening for dinners. We were very close to the Banff springs and enjoyed snow shoeing on the golf course. We would definitely come back ! J & C”

“We stayed here as part of our trip in Canada. Great hotel staff very helpful. Rooms are great with fridge only small doubles but x2 in our room. Has elevator to rooms. Breakfast avaliable on a buffet basis but plenty of options and hot. Bar and restaurant on site. Is not in downtown Banff so a bit of a walk but you can get a daily bus ticket which has frequent stops and easy to use if less mobile a useful option. Would certainly recommend hotel.”

“Spent 4 nights here and will gladly spend many more here in the future. Only a few blocks away from downtown, and the rooms were spacious. But the most amazing part of this stay were Albert and Esther who made us feel at home from the beginning. Breakfast is worth ALL the hype you see in the reviews - we rushed home from seeing a sunrise because Albert's breakfast >>>>> most everything in life. They are both amazing hosts, guides, and people, and we will recommend all of our friends stay here if it's available.”

“Edward (Ned) Corbett was an innovator and pioneer in the field of adult education in Canada. He served as Banff Centre's first director from 1933-1936, notably starting the venture in tandem with the Great Depression. His achievements, perseverance and charisma were recognized in 1972 with the naming of Corbett Hall in his honour, which later opened in May 1973.”

“We recently stayed at the Rundlestone 5 nights and probably wouldn't stay there again. The location was good and the staff were exceptional but the hotel was outdated and in need of some TLC. Our room had holes in the wall where the hairdryer used to be, they have DVD players in each room, the restaurant was shut down, most of the vending machines were out of service, bathroom in the fitness center had an ashtray (1980's?), the pool and hot tub were clean but there was rust on the shower room floor and the plastic plants were sad looking. I found myself looking for other lodging as we explored Banff - in case we go again.”
